LO for Sketchy Thursdays

My LO for this week's challenge over at Sketchy Thursdays. The background star pattern I made by welding together star designs from the Cricut cartridge, Wild Card.

We are having a gorgeous, gorgeous autumn day, today. I love the autumn sunshine!! Off to watch the netball.
Cheers!

May DT Lo's

The rain has finally come after months of dry, but the tanks are now full, the garden watered, the dust is off the autumn leaves and so it can stop raining! Please! At least we are still reasonably warm up north. The poor South Island is experiencing awful floods, with snow expected to follow. It must be miserable! I hope it has improved by the time Em and I head to Queenstown beginning of July. In this months DT kit from Scapbook Studio, I was given lots of variety of My Mind's Eye and Graphic 45 papers. I was kindly given some of the beautiful Le Romantique range (supporting the wedding album drive!!) which is so suited to heritage. I converted the photo to sepia to match, fussy cut the roses, butterflies and bride, added lots of beads, some lace and paper roses etc. I really love that background swirly paper! The circle doily diecut is My Mind's Eye. The frame is cut from Cricut cart Home Accents and brushed with gold ink.
I love an autumn morning when the mist rolls up from the river and then the sun pokes through! So beautiful! The paper is My Mind's Eye, the bead tree is Prima, the word 'AUTUMN' is Heidi Swapp Invisibles (love these!) inked with Tim Holtz Distress inks and the frame is 4 welded icons from Cricut cart, Indie Art and an Indie Atr bird.

Kinda enjoyed using these My Mind's Eye papers to do a bright LO that was a complete change from wedding photos!! I had to go into the achives, tho', to find this photo of Jeff, taken about 25 years ago!! He was soooo cute and had the wickest smile. Such the charmer!!

3 more wedding LO's

Well, my wedding album is filling up! Yay!
In this first LO, for the lacy backgeound, I welded together flowers, in 2 sizes, using the Cricut Home decor cartridge. The flower is comprised of gathered wedding fabric, punched daisies and a stamped flower (on acetate, back sprayed with watered down lumiere paint, then heated with heat gun to gently curl). Lots of bling and Kindy glitz here and there.
This next one is fairly simple with a Prima pearl swirl and cricut cut flourishes. I added a lime green Prima lace under the photo and gathered a piece of lime green organza under the flower. This was the first LO I did, but I missed putting it on the blog! Gorgeous Websters Pages papers, Prima flowers and a Cricut cut frame (can't remember which cartridge).

Off now to do a couple of NON-wedding LO's with this month's DT kit from Scrapbook Studio!
Cheers

Wow!

Wow! I am so amazed and honoured! I submitted the LO below to the Sketchy Thursday challenge and was chosen as a fav! Thanks, girls!
I copied the html thingy to my blog, but it came out as a double! Not sure why. I need more practice attaching things.
Meanwhile I am all smiles and inspired to do this Thursdays challenge!
Cheers!

Getting inspired!

I was lacking a little inspiration today, probably nothing to do with the rain and howling gales outside, or maybe needing a break from wedding photos and these colours! So, after a little blog hopping I came across the Sketchy Thurdays sketch on Beverley Cunningham's blog. So here it is! I used the daisy chain that I had already created using the George Cricut cartridge. Maybe, I'll have a go at entering it...if I can work out how to link things! It is about time I learned how!

More wedding LO's!

Some more layouts using Aaron Lang's lovely photos! My album is growing!!
The paper is Making Memories, overlaid with a Prima transparency. Cricut cartridges used - Home Decor for swirls and Indie Art butterflies and flowers. And, of course a lovely Prima flower.
I have remade this LO using a frame of yummy Webster's Pages! Behind the photos is a tulle backgound. By the way, the gardener is my DH! The autumn crocuses chose the best time to put on a great display!

A simple LO because the paper is so gorgeous! Just added some pink embellies and pink under the left and bottom punched border.

The Bo Bunny Dot papers are so vesatile! Love the reverse side of them too. Cut the embellies and frame on cricut.
We went to dinner at Em's last night (Mother's Day)and Aimee is cooking us dinner tonight! 2 days off!! I love it! Thanks, girls!
Cheers x

More wedding LOs

I love this Webster's Pages paper! The lacy frame is 10 crown shapes from the Home Decor cricut cartridge, welded together. It took aaaages to do, but I loved the result! The bow is an off -cut of the silk from Em's dress. The butterflies are punched from a glitter Prima. You can get all these yummy papers from Scrapbook Studio, along with the Prima flower stems! The little bird cage on the right is a Basic Grey rub-on.
This background paper is one from a new Pink Paislee collection. The frame is a Hambly Print transparency (I love Hambly Prints!). The pink flowers are punched, scrunched and inked. The 2 hearts are both Heidi Swapp, but have glued words, stamped onto vellum, onto reverse of the ghost heart. Cricut cut lovebirds are from the Wedding cartridge.
I'll have more to post as soon as I photograph them!
Right now, I am going to shorten the my new jeans. Why do the people who make these jeans think most women are 6ft tall ?!!! I have been meaning to do it for a few days, but ,wow, the temps have dropped today, even tho' we still have had stuff all rain! We may even light our first fire tonight. I love the first fire of the season, so cosy (and before there is bits of bark all through the house!)
See ya!
