The perfect day - SATW, Tic-tac-toe

My daughter sent me this gorgeous pic while on holiday in Rarotonga. They are having such a great time swimming, kayaking and just playing on the beach with the kids!
I have gone with the beach vacation theme from the mood board at Scrap Around The World.
The NZ Gelatos facebook page is running a challenge this weekend to use your gelatos with stencils, so I have used the stencil on the background and heart.
I am also putting this in Rochelle Spears, Scrappy Friends, Tic-tac-toe board. I used the diagonal row: travel theme, camera, metal

AwesomeYou - OTR

There is another awesome sketch and mood board at Off the Rails this month. I love the sketch, the colours and the blue heart!

I have had some Gelatos for a while and finally got around to having another little play with them. I have never been happy with previous attempts, but have seen a couple of videos recently with techniques that inspired me to have another go. So, I painted the background with gesso, scribbled on plastic with gelatos, sprayed with water and pressed the plastic onto the gessoed paper.

I have used another of my new Charm's Creations Embellishments, which I love!!
The lovely photo was taken at our Mainly Music group by Jill Guillemin from "What you see photography"

Madison - SOS, Charms

My layout for the August 15th challenge at Scrap Our Stash, a layout combined with a tic-tac-toe board. Awesome challenge!
I have also used another of my new Charms Creations DIY embellishments. I have stamped the DIY heart with a paisley stamp, inked it and added some bling! Check out their DIY challenge and range of gorgeous embellishments, here.

Learning the Trade - Stuck?!, Charms Creations

Yesterday, I received my very exciting parcel from Charmane at Charms Creations, that I won over at Scrap the Girls! I couldn't wait to have a play! If you haven't seen their embellishments, check them out, here. You will want them all!! They also have a monthly challenge using their embellishments and this month's is to alter one of the DIY's.
I have used the August 15th sketch at Stuck?! Sketches for my playing!!

I altered the Charm's Creations white arrow and heart with stamps, gold Brilliance, metal bolt head domes and Heidi Swapp gold color spray.

LGS Wk3 & Scrap the Girls

The Week 3 sketch is up at Let's Get Sketchy. Below is my layout of my grand-daughter and niece's daughter heading in to see Disney On Ice. They got to see so many 'princesses' dancing and were in awe of all the lights and action!
I am also putting this into the challenge at Scrap the Girls, who have a gorgeous mood board using pinks,  navy, white and glittering golds and a word frame!
And, also, the challenge at Frosted Designs, to use metal or metallics.

Awesome - Clique Kits, Stuck?!, Artastic

A very quick, simple and oh, so bright layout!! Clique Kits were running a challenge weekend and one of the challenges was to use these very cool free downloads. So I painted them up with Distress pens and with these cute pics of my grandson, I made a quick layout using the Stuck?! Aug 1st sketch.
These bright colours also reminded me of the current challenge at Pixels and Paper. I haven't really done the gorgeous photo justice!
