One Year Old

This is my last DT layout for Sketchabilities. I have loved working with Karan Gerbers amazing sketches!! They are so inspiring!!
Little Miss M turned one last week and her cabinet making uncle kindly cut out some awesome letters so we could have a little photoshoot play. Em saw this idea on Pinterest and we thought it would be fun. We got so many cute photos!
I am also putting this LO into the CSI challenge (scroll down for details)

The very cool sketch:

My sample:

I haven't done a CSI challenge for a long time, so I thought I would play along with this one because the colour scheme worked so well with the photos! I will play along more often!

Colours: PINK, gold, white, grey and black (the black is hiding on the flair buttons)
Evidence: badge/ flair, hearts
Testimony: words cool, awesome and inspired by 1000 awesome things (such a cool website!)

Cheers,
Sue :)

you 2 make me smile

A layout for Stuck?! January 15th sketch and for 1-2-3-Get Scrappy, using a photo of my two adorable little grandies that we took on Miss M's 1st birthday a few days ago. There is only a split second to get a photo of them sitting still, so this was a lucky shot!

The Stuck?! sketch                                                                         1-2-3 Get Scrappy challenge board.

The tic-tac-toe line I chose for the 1-2-3 Get Scrappy challenge is: old page, colour blue, stars. Can you pick my old book page?!! I punched out some hearts from an old Noddy book, mounted them on cardboard to make them firmer and then covered with Dimensional Magic. I was quite chuffed with them! :)

At the moment 1-2-3 Get Scrappy have a Design Team call, so check it out here. Their challenges are such fun to do and are great to combine with a sketch challenge!

Have a great week everyone
Sue :)

2 Cute

Frosted Designs and Stuck?! Sketches have a joint challenge this month and it is so cool to have time to do some scrapping after a busy few weeks of all things non-scrappy!

Here is the Stuck?! Sketch:

And the Frosted Designs challenge is to use ink, mist or spray or paint. I used all three (painted the frame and silver dots, sprayed the same Prima mask for the yellow dots and stamped the '2cute').

Have a great weekend everyone!
Cheers,
Sue :)

Love this photo! Sketchabilities #105

Time for another great Sketchabilities challenge! Sketch #105 is up on the blog with some very inspiring DT projects! I just love seeing the wide variety of projects at each reveal!

For this one, I just had to go Christmassy after seeing this photo! My daughter and DIL dressed up the grandbabies for our very first Christmas photoshoot. After a while the novelty and hot weather got the better of them. Pop came home for lunch and popped the kids on his knee, so we quickly put a Santa hat on his head and took a pic! ( At the bottom of the LO post I will add some of the cute pics we got while the clothes were still on! )

The sketch:
My layout:

I am also putting this in the challenge at 1-2-3 Get Scrappy. I have used banners, ornament (the rosette was a Xmas decoration I made last year) and colour green.

And, Southern Girls Challenge, Christmas

And some of our cute photoshoot pics. (So hard to get Miss M who was 10 months to sit still and Master B, at 11 weeks, to smile on demand!)

Its our 40th wedding anniversary today, so I am looking forward to opening the bottle of champagne waiting in the fridge and having some cheers!!!
Sue :)

Sketchabilities #104 So tired!

Another awesome sketch is up on the Sketchabilities blog!
I get excited everytime I look at the next one to do.

Below is my DT sample, but hop over to the blog to see all the other awesome DT inspiration!

After a busy morning crawling, crawling, crawling, I've had my lunch, my thumb is in my mouth and I am so ready for a sleep!!

I have used more of  the gorgeous product that is in the Frosted Designs November Kit! I am loving the gold embellies!
I am also putting this layout in the current challenge at Southern Girls - Lumpy Bumpy! (love the title, girls)

Have a good weekend!
Cheers,
Sue :)
