Love my swimming lesson

Miss M just loves her swimming lessons! She is going to take after her Mum!

 I loved the glitter and gold in the colour wheel!

BTW, the smiles weren't for the camera, but for the little boy who was sitting just along from me!! Little madam!

When I saw these photos, I knew I had to do an "office girl" themed layout. Miss M loves any phones! If she even hears a text tone from another room, she will look at you and tap her ear!

It is so exciting to see The Color Room, back with challenges! They have added a twist to their challenges, a household item. This month it is to use a piece of 'junkmail'!



The sketch I have used is another fabulous one by Zeneva Kovic for Scrapfriends (now Kreative Koncepts)

My piece of 'junkmail' is the cellphones, tucked behind the photos, cut from a Dick Smith flyer and mounted on chipboard.

 

Off to do boring old grocery shopping! :)

100% Happy - Awesome Day

 Another layout using one of Aimee's great photos from a recent weekend away on a friend's boat. I have used the beautiful nautical range from Fabscraps again to match the "Captain Blake" layout (2 posts below, here.)
The sketch is from Scrap and Music. They have very cool sketches and song themes every 2 weeks.( I have had the flu and nearly didnt get this done in time!)

Lil' Miss Strawberry

"My other Nana gave me this very cute strawberry playsuit for my first birthday!"
Its not very often I use lots of papers from the same range, but all of these (apart from the green chevron) are from the new Kaisercraft, Telegraph Road collection. Such gorgeous colours in this range!!

Captain Blake

Blakey had his first little holiday with Mum and Dad on a friend's boat for two nights. They went out to Great Barrier, had the best weather and fishing conditons. Blake loved it, slept soundly with the gentle rocking and loved being in the front pack fishing with Dad. (Thats another layout to come! Haha!) Dad, of course, couldn't resist putting the captain's hat on him!

After finishing my DT stint on the Sketchabilities blog, I still couldn't resist playing along with this awesome sketch!! Such a great sketch, Karan!

And the colour scheme in the Scrapfriends February colour challenge was perfect!

GD 1-2-3-Get Scrappy

I am very excited and honoured to be the Guest Designer at 1-2-3-Get Scrappy this month! If you haven't checked out their challenges yet, then head over here and have a look. They have a fun tic-tac-toe board, to play along with each month.
 It is fun to combine with one of the many sketch challenges around. I have chosen the cool sketch from Scrapfriends and the mood board from Scrap around the World, to combine with this layout of my precious, little granddaughter on her first birthday.

So, this months board!

I choose the line: Polka Dots, fibers, vellum

Apart from the hearts which I diecut with a Tim Holtz die, the pink words are also vellum. They come from a Quotable Quotes stack that has been in my stash for years!! Now that it has been 'rediscovered' I think I will be using the stash a lot more!

The papers and filmstrip overlay are Kaisercraft (background paper from the new Violet Crush range)

And just had to make one of the Envelope maker bows from the many You Tube videos!! Haha!
