Tags and Card using Spellbinders Lacy Hearts

In my Scottie Crafts kit I received this very cool Spellbinders die to play with.
If you haven’t got a doily heart die yet, or ‘one is never enough’, then you will love the new Spellbinders lacy hearts set.   The die pieces can be mixed and matched to make a variety of different doilies. So cool!!

Before I started on some layouts, I had to have a quick play and have made 2 tags using the small scallop outer and the lattice inner.

This one has a see-through heart which will let your layout, card or giftwrap papers show through. ( See Scotties blog for a tutorial for this)

And an easel card using a mix of heart combos, the corner flourish and the gorgeous Kaisercraft, Enchanted Garden papers.

Southern Girls Challenge have an 'F' letter challenge this fortnight, so I am putting in this card that has
a fairy, flower and flourish!

 Cheers,
Sue :)

Telling My Story

Miss M is becoming quite a little chatterbox! We just love listening to her telling us her stories!

This LO is based on the current sketch at Sketchabilities #95. I love the focus of my layouts to be the photos and these sketches are great for that.

I have used more of the cool papers from Prima's Jodie Lee Art Journal pad from Scottie Crafts. I love the background papers in this pad.
To make the ink circles, I sprayed a little Dylusions inks onto a craft mat, dipped various container lids into the ink and stamped with them. (a pot lid for the large circle )

The alphabet mask is a Dylusions stencil and texture paste.

Off to have lunch with a scrappy friend!! Fun!

Cheers,
Sue :)

Baby Shower

We had so much fun at my daughter-in-law, Aimee's, baby shower! Well organised by Kate and Emma!! The most exciting part for me is that by the end of August, I will have a Grandson, so now I get to buy and make cute little boy and girl things!!

I used the sketch at Scrapfriends for this layout. Their sketches always encourage me to do something that is different to my usual style. So much fun!

And a little close-up:

Enjoy your day!

Cheers,
Sue :)

Hello fingers!

I loved the 'Stuck!' sketch for July! Check it out here! I was looking for a great sketch to use for this cute photo taken by Sonya at Born Perfection photography ( a friend of Em's).

And a close up of the journaling:

I pretty much kept to the sketch because I loved all the circles and butterflies. I got out some doily dies, my Prima circle stencil, a Glitz large rhinestone and some Flair Badges from Paper Vine. ( I used the scallop circle negatives as a mask over the Prima stencil and scraped some Gelatos into Reeves iridescent medium to paste over)

I am also putting this layout into the challenges at:
Berry71Bleu - Anything goes
Southern Girls - No Spoolin'

We are enjoying very crisp weather here, but glorious sunshine - a perfect day to go for a walk!

Cheers,
Sue :)

Love this face

These gorgeous photos were taken by a photographer friend of Em's! I just love Madison's facial expressions!

I came across the Life.Paper.Scrapbook sketch challenge (via Sarah Groen's blog) which had a great sketch for these three little photos that I had printed out.

I am also going to put this Frosted Designs current Friday challenge, Use 2 of ribbon, twine or washi.
I have used twine and washi.

Off to light the fire! Gorgeous day this morning, but the rain has come over and the temperature just plummets!

Cheers,
Sue :)

My gorgeous girls

I love these photos of Emma and Madison - my gorgeous girls!
The very pretty new Kaisercraft collection, True Romance, which I picked up in Scottie Crafts recently, had just the colours I needed!
I used the sketch #94 from Sketchabilities. Check it out here.

And close ups!

I am also putting this layout into the Southern Girls Challenge, 'Use leaves'

This blog is short, but I just want to get back to my desk and scrap!!
Cheers,
Sue :)

Guest Designer at Berry71bleu

I was so excited to win May's challenge at Berry71bleu and asked to Guest Design for their June challenge!!

So here is my layout for this month's theme,  "Summer".

And a couple of close-ups!

If you havent checked out the challenges at Berry71bleu, then head on over! They have a different fun challenge every month that can be combined with up to 2 other challenges if you wish.

There is still time to enter this month's 'Summer' challenge, so check it out here!! Even though, in this part of the world we are in the middle of winter, I am sure most of us still have a hoard of unscrapped summer photos. So, suuggle up in front of the fire and smile as you go through those summer memories!

Cheers,
Sue :)
