GD for The Studio Challenges

I am thrilled to have been invited to be the Guest Designer at The Studio Challenges this month!! They have 2 interesting challenges a month and the first challenge for 2016 is a 'topic' challenge - Hopes and Dreams for 2016.

2016 is going to be exciting for us, with 2 more grandchildren on the way, so we are hoping for them all to be happy and healthy and for for us all to be able to spend lots of time together.

Best wishes for 2016,
Sue :)

ARTastic January challenge

I am very excited to be sharing my first layout as a Design Team member for the challenge blog, ARTastic. Each month a work of art is put up as inspiration for your layout, with a little twist added.

This month's art work is a Bondi scene by Isabelle May Hunter Tweddle.
Criteria (twist) is to create a layout with a Summer Theme, inspired by the painting.

My layout:

I was inspired by the beach theme and the colours. I have used a Tim Holtz stencil with crackle texture paste and glitter swirls to mimic the waves.

I hope you will join in our challenge here.

Cheers,
Sue :)

Sweet M for Kraft+

This is the first time I have put a layout into the Kraft+ challenge, but I have been following the gorgeous work that others have been doing for the challenges and thought it was about time I joined in!
The challenge this month is to use your own handwriting on the layout. My writing, about my wee GD at 2years 10 months, is around the edge of the layout.

We have had a shockingly wet start to New Year's here in the north of New Zealand, perfect for scrapbooking, but today, the sun has come back and the humidity is exhausting! Looking forward to the clear blue skies and gentle breezes again, hopefully next week!

Cheers,
Sue :)

D - diecut frames
I - ink (white chalk ink swiped over the background paper to soften the colours)
E - elf
C - christmas papers
U - uniball pen (black)
T - transparent stickers, trees
S - stars

Have a very Merry Christmas everyone and happy times with family and friends!

Blog hop LGS

Welcome to the Lets Get Sketchy/Picture This “ My One Word” Blog Hop.  You should have come from                                            Carolyn‘s blog.  If you have stumbled across this by chance and want to play along then you can head back to the Let's Get Sketchy site to start at the beginning and to start collecting your challenge words.

So, the 'one word' title I have chosen for my layout is: Adore
I just adore this pic of these two wee cousins holding hands after we have had a lovely extended family brunch at a local winery.

If you play along with our hop challenge you can be in to win the wonderful prize from our sponsor, Creative Embellishments! If you get lost along the way, head on back over to Let’s Get Sketchy for the line up!

My challenge word, if you are joining our blog hop,
is 'ENEMY'. (This word is part of a quote, but you only need the words)

Next up on the hop is Laetitia,  http://triniti59760.blogspot.fr.  Make sure you hop on over to her blog to check out the wonderful inspiration she has for you. Don’t forget, each team member has a word hidden someone on their page, so make sure you grab all the words for your chance at an extra prize!

Cheers! And good luck!
Sue :)
