Sweet Christmas Moments

The challenge at Scrap the Girls is Christmas dresses. Each year we buy matching Christmas dresses for the girls (4, but 5 next year!) and some thing co-ordinating for our one little man, for the family (cousins) photoshoot. These two were getting some extra use out of their dresses for the Pre-School Christmas party.



Cocoa Vanilla's Midnight range was the perfect match for this year's navy and silver dresses. The awesome Christmas tree cut file is from Created by Gwen and you can always find a perfect Charm's Creations felt heart to finish.

Bright and Happy

We have wet weather here this weekend, but are hoping it will clear for all the Santa parades on tomorrow!! So much hard work goes into their preparation, its always a shame if it rains!

The Scrap the Boys challenge this month is all about You and your boy! So we want to see you in the photo with your boy/man.
My husband and I did the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb after our kids gave us the vouchers for Christmas. It took me 18 months to get the courage to do it! Did they not know I was scared of heights!!!?
Anyway, it was awesome and not nearly as scary as I imagined!

Pinkfresh Oct

A layout for the October challenge at Pinkfresh using the gorgeous colours from the Indigo Hills2 range and including fussy cutting. These papers were made for fussy cutting. I so love them!!
My wee granddaughter had her first hair cut with out one bit of fuss (especially as curls and combs aren't always a happy mix!) Definitely 'cause for applause'!


Loved fussy cutting this paper. The gorgeous purple felt heart is from Charm's Creations.

Perfect Weather for Ice Cream- CK

Hi everyone! Welcome to my first post for the Clique Kits Cutfile team. As we are heading into summer, this is a very summery page

I started by downloading and printing the This Is Us digital collection. This collection has 18 gorgeous papers, and ephemera, including a sheet of die cuts, hearts and labels

I cut the 'Perfect Weather' cut file 3 times to make a thicker title, 2 white and one mauve. I layered the whites  on top of each other and then offset the mauve to give a nice shadow effect.

These are the 'Snow Cones' and 'Tropical Florals' cut files. I cut the Snow Cones apart and put some either side of the photo.

Add some of the cut out ephemera and labels and its done!

Made to Scrap and Clique

There is a fun moodboard at Made to Scrap-the Aussie way this month. My DIL recently sent me this pic taken at Taronga Zoo and it jumped out at me when I saw this challenge!

I also had this totally gorgeous print and cut file from Clique Kits that I wanted to use.

I used some of the little 'paint splashes' as backing for the little black cut file flowers. I was thrilled with how well the file cut!

                                  

The Made to Scrap moodboard: I loved the watercolour and flourish effects, but had to use the giraffe image. 

                                         

Aussie products I have used include a Charm's Creations felt circle with button, Cocoa Vanilla papers and embellies from the Creative Escape, the tulip row cut file from Cut to You and a Funky Flair.

Happy-Studio Challenges, More than Words

This layout is of my very happy little granddaughter and is for the challenges at More than Words, to be inspired by the word 'sunshine' and to use a pop of yellow and the challenge at The Studio Challenges to use the word 'Happy'.



I have used a cut file, the word 'sunshine' and fussy cut papers from the Hipkit Club kits and the background paper is from the Heidi Swapp, Pineapple Crush collection. The word 'Happy' is a Rosie's stamp and die.

Pinkfresh - Sweet

I am so loving everything Pinkfresh at the moment!! This layout is for the Pinkfresh August challenge!! The theme is summer, but we are in winter here! But, the colours still worked well for this happy pic of my granddaughter.
